Top 5 Series I Want to Start – Top 5 Tuesday

Hey Bookwyrms! I’m so excited to participate in Shanah’s (Bionic Book Worm) Top 5 Tuesday!

I have a bad habit of adding books to my TBR and forgetting about them for some new release or books that I’ve been anticipating for a while. I’m hoping to tackle some of the books listed below, this year.

The Nevernight Chronicles

These books are completely out of my wheelhouse. Not because it’s YA Fantasy, thats one of my go-to genres. But because of the dark somewhat horror aspects. However, so many of my trusted bookwyrms have hailed the books praises that I now don’t understand how I haven’t read them yet. To be fair most of the reason I want to read them is because of the author Jay Kristoff. I’ve heard so many great things about his work that I’ve developed this enormous sense of FOMO.

The Lunar Chronicles

I was introduced to Marissa Meyer’s writing in late 2018 through the Renegades Trilogy. It quickly became a favorite. And now I need to read more from her. And as a major fan of fairy-tale retellings, these books are right up my alley.

The Binti Series

Another out of my wheelhouse series! Mostly because science fiction is not a go-to genre for me. However, I’ve heard nothing but good things about these books. I’m seriously hoping to pick up at least the first book this year. And just look at these covers!

The Illuminae Files

Let me just let you know from now, this and the following choice are books written by dynamic author duo Jay Kristoff and Annie Kaufman. Another science fiction series that I’ve heard nothing but great things about.

The Aurora Cycle

And these are more cover buys than anything. I mean look at them, they’re gorgeous! But I’ve also heard excellent things about Aurora Rising.

Well apparently, science fiction and two authors took over this list! I’m excited to dive into all of these books sometime this year! Have you read any books from these series? Do you recommend them? What are some series you want to start?

Also, I’ve had such a great time participating in the Top 5 Tuesday prompts for April and I’m extremely excited for May! If you’re interested in participating click here.
