Ties that Tether – ARC Tuesday Review & Blog Tour
The Great: My absolute favorite aspect of this book is the characters. I loved how relatable the main character, Azere is, how badass her younger sister Efe is, how loving and caring her cousin (who's more like a brother to Azere) Jacob is. And how complex yet simplistic, the other main character and love interest, Rafael is. Not to mention Azere's best friend Christina! Their friendship felt most genuine especially during some of the dramatic parts of the story. And the fact that Christina and Azere have rocky moments when they're not seeing eye to eye, even with the best of intentions, was absolutely amazing to read.
Furia – Sunday Funday Review
The Great: The characters! Specifically the main characters Camila and Diego. Camila is the main reason I love this book so much. She’s resilient, ambitious, self-aware and goes after what she wants and what she knows she deserves. She puts her best foot forward in absolutely everything that she does. But what I loved most about her was her fierce loyalty and love for her mama Isabel, brother Pablo, best friend Roxana her team and coach Alicia, as well for her first love Diego. Though that love doesn't deter her from her dreams of becoming a successful fútbolera. She is La Furia through and through.
This Is My America – ARC Tuesday Review
Wow where are the words... The Great: I am in love with Kim Johnson's writing style—specifically the dialogue. It felt genuine and authentic and i just loved getting to know the characters through their own voices as much as the narrative.

The Great: I absolutely adored the main and side characters and their development! Tau Solarin has my heart and soul! He is hands down one of the best main characters that I’ve encountered this year. And knowing that his journey hasn’t come to an end, makes me extremely excited for the next book!
